A place to post updates along our journey.
Shopping before an evening Iowa Cubs game against the St. Paul Saints.
Camilla got her haircut and some new jeans for casual days at school next year.
Patrick likes baseball and has had season tickets in the past. We caught an evening game that was the first in a series against the St. Paul Saints (from my home state).

It’s hard to get Linda or Camilla to agree to taking a picture, so these two are it.

Des Moines has a nice, small stadium with plenty of parking and open seats. We actually arrived early, so had plenty of time to grab burgers before the game with no line.

This was Camilla’s first ballgame in the stands (she saw a bit of one through a fence in Rhode Island once before), so she was excited by all the opportunities to stand up and try to catch balls, T-shirts or hotdogs.

She also liked the food.

Here’s a video of the hotdog gun in action. We never caught a hotdog or a T-shirt.
Near the end Russ WA able to get a fan to through a foul ball from the game to him to give to Camilla, so she got a game ball. The first 10 game balls caught by fans get a free case, but this was way past that point.

The Iowa Cubs lost 4 to 7 in this game. But later in the series they won the next 4 games.
